Vetronix Crash Data Retrieval System

The department was faced with a diminishing capacity for quality accident reconstruction. They were lacking in the use of current technology available to retrieve data from vehicles involved in major accidents. The Crash Data Retrieval System consists of hardware and software that downloads crash data from a vehicle's air bag module to a portable laptop computer. The information, relating to speed at impact, braking, seat belts status and air bag deployment as well as other critical accident indicators is easily printed out in a report format for courtroom purposes.

Three CDR's were purchased and assigned to accident investigators for three major shifts.
